This is a traditional stick dance called 'soke' performed by the 'Uluaki 'o Tonga Royal Institute Group. The history of the soke is that it was imported into Tonga from the islands of Uvea (Wallis) during the Tongan colonisation of the South Pacific in the early 13th century.
