Professor David T. Sugimoto of the Keio University Faculty of Letters Department of Archaeology and Ethnology is conducting archaeological excavations at Beitin in the territory of Palestine and helping the locals to develop tourism resources through conservation of the site. This is a joint project with the Department of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage in the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
