Various of large number of protesters marching down street \nSTORYLINE \nAmateur video released on Wednesday purportedly showed protesters clashing with security forces in the city of Taiz in southern Yemen.\nThe video posted by a group that calls itself FreedomTaiz appeared to show armoured vehicles shooting in the street and security forces firing tear gas at protesters.\nAnother video posted by a group that calls itself Yennews purportedly showed large numbers of protesters marching through the city. \nAP Television cannot independently verify the authenticity or date of the amateur footage. \nProtesters have taken to the streets in Taiz every day since Sunday in response to the violence in the capital Sanaa. \nOn Tuesday clashes between protesters and security forces in Taiz left two people dead medical officials said. \nThe protesters are becoming increasingly impatient with Yemen s president Ali Abdullah Saleh who they say is dragging his feet instead of signing a deal to step down.\nGulf and UN mediators appear to have given up on persuading Yemen s opposition and the government to talk about their transition plan which has been on the table for months. \nIt would allow Saleh to resign in exchange for immunity from prosecution. \nSaleh has come close to signing several times only to pull back at the last minute.\nSaleh is still in Saudi Arabia where he went for treatment after suffering severe wounds in an attack on his compound in June. \nLast week he appointed his vice president to negotiate over the Gulf Cooperation Council plan. \nThe opposition rejected that as more stalling.
