The Kenya National Congress and the party of action also joined in the last minute rush to beat the deadline for depositing pre-election pacts at the registrar's office. The two presidential aspirants Peter Kenneth and Raphael Tuju signed their pre-election pact shortly after the Gatanga MP cancelled his scheduled meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi. The two leaders said that their pre-election agreement came naturally citing that they share the same vision for all Kenyans.
