arrow right This Is Good

An old story is told of a king in Africa who had a close friend with whom he grew up. The friend had a habit of looking at every situation that ever occurred in his life (positive or negative) and remarking, "This is good!" One day the king and his friend were out on a hunting expedition. The friend would load and prepare the guns for the king. The friend had apparently done something wrong in preparing one of the guns, for after taking the gun from his friend, the king fired it and his thumb was blown off. Examining the situation the friend remarked as usual,

arrow right Room At The Table

Have you ever noticed that dining room tables seat six, eight, or twelve-not seven, nine, or thirteen? I've been single all my life, usually not thinking much of it. But on holidays even the place-settings conspire against me, rendering a silent rebuke against my single status.

You can endure holiday dinners two ways if you're single: 1) Bring someone you don't particularly care for; 2) Hear the awful words

arrow right A Letter From Jesus

Dear Friend, I just had to write to tell you how much I love you and care for you. Yesterday, I saw you walking and laughing with your friends; I hoped that soon you'd want Me to walk along with you, too. So, I painted you a sunset to close your day and whispered a cool breeze to refresh you. I waited; you never called. I just kept on loving you.

As I watched you fall asleep last night, I wanted so much to touch you. I spilled moonlight onto your face trickling down your cheeks as so many tears have. You didn't even think of me; I wanted so much to comfort you.

The next day I exploded a brilliant sunrise into a glorious morning for you. But you woke up late and rushed off to work-you didn't evennotice.

My sky became cloudy and Mytears were the rain.

I love you! Oh, if you'd only listen. I really love you! I try to say it in the quiet of the green meadow and in the blue sky. The wind whispers My love throughout the treetops and spills it into the vibrant colors of the flowers.

I shout it to you in the thunder of the great waterfalls and composed love songs for birds to sing for you. I warm you with the clothing of My sunshine and perfume the air with nature's sweet scent.

My love for you is deeper than the ocean and greaterthan any need in your heart. If you'd only realize how I care. I died just for you. My Dad sends His love. I want you to meet Him. He cares, too. Fathers are just that way.

So please call Me soon. No matter how long it takes, I'll wait because I love you.

                                       Your Friend,
                                                       Jesus

arrow right Guide for Mage's stone in Allods

Date:09-19-2010 views: 18 Author: Editor: lj Text Size: A A A Multiple fast hits will tear away at the barrier. This is offset by a Mage's ability to have reflections running giving a 50% miss chance each 'miss' hits and destroys a reflection. If a mage has this and Stone barrier it can take a little while to break through. A sensible mage will have these prepare in advance so the cooldown is already reset before starting a fight. You can buy allods gold from our site.

It meaning their first 'recharge' of these defences cannot be avoided if they have the mana. Talent grid choices can also add up to an extra 60% damage absorbtion per barrier. Making it rare that a big hit will break through a barrier and still do damage. Try to interrupt the casting of the mage with knockdown or stun effects. This will make it harder to restore barriers and cast offecnsive spells. You can buy Allods powerleveling service on our site.

A mage using multiple different elements to attack you ice, fire or lightning may be storing up force points. With the correct power a mage can restore their stone barriers without casting stone barrier by cashing in force points on a 1:1 exchange. A total of 9 stored points can completely replenish a stone barrier from 1 to 10 and they would still have the Stone barrier spell to use again. Just have fun in Allods.

arrow right Three Cows

It was a year I will never forget! 1988 would see my family move back to the States after spending eight of the most rewarding years of our lives in the mission field of Thailand. Our departure was more sudden than we had anticipated, as there were problems in our home congregation and the money just was not there. Paula and I prayed for wisdom, and the answer came loud and clear. Yet, we had made so many friends; and it was difficult to pack up eight years into shipping crates and footlockers, get on a train which would take us to an airplane, and just leave!

But we did!

However, before we left, we spent several weeks traveling all over the country saying good bye to those we loved so much. It was a difficult assignment, but God provided the grace we all needed.

I remember one particular good bye that will stay with me forever, or I hope it does. His name was Paw Phim. Paw in the Thai language is a term of respect and endearment for older men. It is equivalent to our

arrow right The Guide for Archlord Accounts

We have seen a few threads over time where folks ask or want to know a member's Xfire account. So to consolidate all of that together, you can post your account here. Mine is zyriel - nickname is Vars. Feel free to send us invites. In terms of GameSpy Arcade, for example, which is GameSpy's main feature, that finds servers for players in various games and connects the players to them, along with providing a huge online game(Archlord Gold) community. GameSpy is owned by IGN and a huge download service, Fileplanet.

Xfire's main feature is an in-game(Archlord powerleveling), another words, no minimizing the game's window instant messenger service for players in Archlord, some support for voice chat, along with providing a game time counter, while its forums and download service are just minor things. Only some little advertisments in the actual Xfire client. We just keep mine running all the time minimized.

arrow right mcdonald's hot apple and cherry pies

McDonald's Hot Apple and Cherry PiesDeep fryerSpray gun with fresh waterZip-type bagsExtra fry basket4 to 6 cups vegetable oil (in fryer) 1 package Pillsbury apple or cherry turnoversUnroll the turnover dough. Stretch four pieces out to about 4 x 5-inch rectangles on wax paper.Spread 1/2 of the pie filling on one dough, and the other half on another, leaving about 1/2 inch of dough around edges. Clear a 3/4-inch space lengthwise down the middle of both.Place the remaining two doughs on top of the two with the filling. Crimp the edges. This will look like two giant pop-tarts. Cut both of them precisely down the middle, in the 3/4-inch space. Crimp those two edges.Manipulate as needed to form an attractive, uniform shaped pie. They should look like small burritos, only crimped around the edges.Place all four, flat on wax paper, in the freezer. After about 45 minutes, spray all sides of each pie with water mist. Return to the freezer for at least another hour.Place in a freezer bag and seal for future use, or deep-fry them.Preheat deep fryer to 375 degrees F. Preheat oven to warm.Quickly dip a frozen pie in cold water, making sure to immerse it entirely. Drop the pie into the hot oil. Be careful as it will probably splatter. After all the pies are in the fryer, place the spare fryer basket over the top, sandwiching the pies between the two baskets. This ensures the pies are fully submerged. It is important that the pies are fully submerged or a good portion of it won't cook correctly. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, checking after 5 minutes. They should be golden brown. The older the oil, the sooner it will turn brown, and that may give you a false reading. Six minutes is generally good. After deep frying, carefully remove the cooked pies and drain for 1 minute on paper towels. Place directly on the oven rack in warmed oven. Warm for at least 10 minutes, and as long as 30 minutes.CAUTION: These are hot.

arrow right The Storm

When the tide comes rolling in, And the mighty oceans roar, It can go on land so far That is all, it goes no more. When the storm clouds gather round us And the great big raindrops fall, Just so much will fall to earth as it heeds the Master's call. When the load becomes so heavy
That the body cries in pain,
Remember that this too will end
Like the ocean and the rain.

So adorn thyself with gladness,
Remember God is really there,
He takes time to feed the sparrow,
And He always answers prayer.

Several years ago in California, a young woman was stopped for speeding. She was given a ticket and sentenced to appear before the judge. The Judge read off her citation and asked, "What is your plea? Guilty or not guilty?" "Guilty your honor," she replied. The Judge brought down the gavel and said, pay $100 or ten days.

arrow right Learning to Get Back Up

Bringing a giraffe into the world is a tall order. A baby giraffe falls 10 feet from its mother's womb and usually lands on its back. Within seconds it rolls over and tucks its legs under its body. From this position it considers the world for the first time and shakes off the last vestiges of the birthing fluid from its eyes and ears. Then the mother giraffe rudely introduces its offspring to the reality of life.

In his book, A View from the Zoo, Gary Richmond describes how a newborn giraffe learns its first lesson.

The mother giraffe lowers her head long enough to take a quick look. Then she positions herself directly over her calf. She waits for about a minute, and then she does the most unreasonable thing. She swings her long, pendulous leg outward and kicks her baby, so that it is sent sprawling head over heels.

When it doesn't get up, the violent process is repeated over and over again. The struggle to rise is momentous. As the baby calf grows tired, the mother kicks it again to stimulate its efforts. Finally, the calf stands for the first time on its wobbly legs.

Then the mother giraffe does the most remarkable thing. She kicks it off its feet again. Why? She wants it to remember how it got up. In the wild, baby giraffes must be able to get up as quickly as possible to stay with the herd, where there is safety. Lions, hyenas, leopards, and wild hunting dogs all enjoy young giraffes, and they'd get it too, if the mother didn't teach her calf to get up quickly and get with it.

The late Irving Stone understood this. He spent a lifetime studying greatness, writing novelized biographies of such men as Michelangelo, Vincent van Gogh, Sigmund Freud, and Charles Darwin.

Stone was once asked if he had found a thread that runs through the lives of all these exceptional people. He said,

arrow right A Different Kind of Christian

A worldchanger is someone who is committed to do just that, change the world. A worldchanger is not someone who blends in. A worldchanger sticks out! A Worldchanger stands up ready to make a difference. A worldchanger goes beyond the usual expectations of Christianity. A worldchanger finds the most intense demands that Jesus places on Christians and doesn't shy away but goes after then passionately and does whatever it takes to get the job done!

She is not just doing it because her parents make her or because the youth pastor bribes her. A worldchanger has been radically, completely, and totally changed by a relationship with God!

Christianity is not some boring thing that a person halfheartedly commits to just because they have been in church their whole lives. You are not hanging on to your parents Christianity.

A worldchanger had found Jesus for them-- not just for mom and dad or just for the pastor. And because Jesus died for them, they are ready to give their lives for him. Christianity. is not just lip service.

Worldchangers have a fervor to seek God with all of their hearts, and to do everything they can to let the world know that God is real and that he is alive! Worldchangers are not stuck in a bunch of boring rules and regulations, but they have the fire of the living God burning inside them! And they just can't keep it inside of them.

Worldchangers are serious about learning the word of God and then taking that word and applying it to their lives. Worldchangers are constantly changing and becoming more and more like Jesus.

Worldchangers develop a vision for their community and do everything they can to take the living Christ to a lost and dying world!

Worldchangers are sick and tired of a watered down, namby-pamby Christianity.! They want the real thing and don't care how hard it hits them or what parts of their lives they have to change.

They are sick and tired of the attitude that lukewarm Christians bring into the church, and they are ready to do something about it! They are especially ready to attack attitudes in their own lives!

A Worldchanger loves the Lord with all of his/her heart, soul, mind, and strength and loves his neighbor as himself. Write this scripture down. Carry it with you! Begin to pray over what you have just learned about a worldchanger.
