arrow right Speaking of Speaking in Tongues

A young bible college student once wrote and told me how the college she attends has been teaching that "speaking in tongues" is the sole evidence that one is filled with the Spirit and that no one WAS filled with the Spirit UNLESS they've spoken in tongues. Apparently, that didn't sit well with her and she wanted my opinion.Let me begin by stating that I'm well aware that not all subscribers to these eMail broadcasts prescribe to the belief that

arrow right Churchless Christianity: A Move of God?

There's another "move of God" that's sweeping the nations. Have you noticed? Very few of those I've spoken with actually have. There are others who don't necessarily view it as being a literal "movement" because it's not quite as defined as they like. Not to mention those who don't particularly approve of God

In the mid 90's, a Presbyterian minister named Steve Brown conducted an interview with the lesbian Pastor from the largest Gay Church in America. Steve had already laid the ground rules for their dialogue regarding the expected, conservative, fundamentalist stance on homosexuality. Essentially, he agreed not to state the obvious and refused to

arrow right The Power of Love

There is no doubt in my mind that the quality of love is the #1 quality that God would like to get worked into our souls and personalities. Even nonbelievers, atheists and agnostics can see the power of love and how it has the ability to change people and change lives when it is properly walked out and handled.Hollywood has made tons of movies just on the power of love - especially the special love that occurs between a man and woman in a romantic relationship. Even hard, tough grown men can be brought to tears when watching a real well made movie made about the power of love. The quality of love is truly universal - as it literally transcends peoples, nations and religions. Love is truly the universal language of this world and people from all different walks of life recognize it for what it truly is and understand the power that is in it.Then when you read and study the Bible - you see the major emphasis God the Father is placing on it when He tells all of us that He wants us to love Him, to love ourselves and to love one another. So if the quality of love is recognized by all peoples and all nations - then why is it that throughout the course of our human history there has been so many wars, so much hatred, so much crime and so much inhumanity done to our fellow man? If everyone knows what love is - then how could so many people throughout the course of human history commit the evil and atrocious acts they have committed?Even in our day and age people still have not learned from the past - as there is just as much hatred and evil operating in this world as there has ever been. The Bible even tells us that the love of many will grow cold in the latter days - which means things are going to actually go from bad to worse in the coming years. If man really knows what love is - then why can't more people act, operate and walk in love so they we can all live in peace and harmony with one another? Why do people have to rob, rape, kill, plunder and steal from one another? No matter what one's religious beliefs and ideologies may be - there is simply no excuse for some of the horrible barbaric acts of murder, assaults, abductions, robberies and rapes that we see on an everyday basis. As Christians, we all know that part of the answer as to why men can't love one another in the way and to the degree that God would like from us in this lifetime is due to our fallen natures - our sin natures that we have all been born with as a result of the curse of Adam and Eve. That is why Jesus had to come to die for all of us - because we have all sinned and have fallen way short of the glory of our God.However, even saved and born again believers have problems in being able to walk in the quality of love to the degree that God would like in our everyday lives. We all know that God is expecting us to be able to walk in His love - but we still have problems in loving our God, our families, our friends and even ourselves to the degree and to the intensity that He would like from us.We read in the Bible about all of the verses that God wants us to walk very strongly in this quality - but we still seem to fall short of being able to actually do it in our real lives. If we all have the Holy Spirit living and operating in us - then why is it that we cannot seem to draw more of His love up into our personalities so that we can all walk with more of this quality operating in our lives?I believe that the answer lies in the last article I did under this section titled The 9 Fruits of the Holy Spirit. Too many Christians are trying to walk in the quality of love operating out of their own strength, out of their own emotions and out of their own flesh. Granted - God the Father wants us to do the best we can to put this quality on into the core of our personalities. But our best is not going to be good enough in this area to get the job done with the way God would like. The reason for that is that we have all been born with these fallen, imperfect and sinful natures. This means that we are not capable of walking in perfect love - no matter how hard we try in our own natural strength. So what is the answer if we are not capable of walking in perfect love like God is?To those believers who are really wanting to learn how to truly walk in the real love of God in their lives - there is only one way to be able to do this - and that is learning how to draw that love from the Holy Spirit. And the only way that you can get the Holy Spirit to release His love to you as one of His 9 fruits is that you have to be willing to enter into a true sanctification process with the Lord where God can start the process of making you to become more holy like He and His Son Jesus are. There is no other way! There are no other shortcuts that you can take to get this accomplished. It is only when the love of God Himself starts to flow into your personality can you even begin to love God, love yourself and love other people to the degree and to the intensity that He would really like from you.Once the Holy Spirit begins this sanctification process in your life - your job will be to learn how to walk, live and operate in the qualities and attributes He will start to transmit into your personality. Once the Holy Spirit starts to transmit His quality of love up into you - your job will then be to learn how to walk in that love in your words and actions with others.Actually, once the Holy Spirit starts to transmit His love into you - it will become much easier for you to really love others in the way God wants you to be able to love them. Once you start to feel God's love for His people - you won't be able to help yourself in feeling that same love for them since God's love will start to mesh with your own love. Once God's love starts to flow and mesh into what limited love you already have - then you will be able to start to really love other people in the way that God had initially intended for all of us to be able to.The missing ingredient in all of this is obviously the love of the Holy Spirit. It is only when the Holy Spirit starts to release His love into your personality as one of His 9 fruits can you truly begin to love your God, love yourself and love other people in the way God intended. Trying to love others with what limited, imperfect love you may already have operating in you will never get the job done - either to your own satisfaction or to the satisfaction of God Himself. That is why Jesus has told us that without Him we can do nothing - especially in the area of being able to get properly sanctified in Him.I will give you some of the best verses from Scripture on the quality of love, and why God the Father is placing such a strong emphasis that we learn how to walk in it in our relation to Him, ourselves and to other people. God the Father is really raising the bar on this one specific quality as you will be able to see with the way that He has some of these verses worded out. He is making some extreme and radical statements with what He is expecting from us with just this one quality. When you first read what these verses are telling us to do in reference to this particular quality - you will really be able to feel and sense your own shortcomings in this area. But again - realize that this is where the Holy Spirit will be coming in big time. Just realize that God knows that you cannot reach the level that He is looking for from you in this area - and that it will only be possible for you to reach this level only if the love of the Holy Spirit Himself is operating through you. When you really study and meditate on the verses I will list below - you can sum all of them up in one simple statement. God is looking for you to be able to love in 6 different areas - all with the love of the Holy Spirit being available to you to help you out in each of these areas. God wants you to be able to fully love in all 6 of these realms. You are to learn to:Love God Love yourself Love your family Love your friends Love your neighbors Love your enemiesYou will notice that there are 6 specific areas that God will want you to be able to love in. Bottom line - God will want you to love right across the board - from loving Him down to being able to love the worst of your enemies. The first 4 areas are much more easier to learn how to do than the last two - especially the last one in being able to love your enemies and love those who will try and hurt you in this life.Loving your family and friends is easy and comes very natural for many of us because of the strong bonds that we have already established with them. But learning to love some of your other neighbors who you have no real special bond with or complete total strangers will be much harder for you to do - especially with the way that our world has become with so many more people keeping to themselves and being afraid to trust anyone anymore. However - this can be done with the help of the Holy Spirit. Once you start to feel the love of God Himself for some of these people - it will become much easier for you to befriend some of these people and help them when the need may arise. Again - Jesus is the perfect example of someone who was always helping out total strangers. When you study what He did as He was walking on our earth, He was always stopping and talking to people, along with helping, teaching, saving, healing and delivering some of these people when the need would arise. He was always there to meet their needs - especially their spiritual needs.Just as Jesus was able to walk in perfect love in His words and actions with other people - so to can we learn how to walk in that same Godly love if we allow the Holy Spirit to enter us into this sanctification process where God the Father can then begin to work all 9 fruits of His Holy Spirit up into the very cores of our personalities.Though we can never become as perfect as Jesus is in His walk with all of us - we can all still try to do and be the best we can be in God in our dealings and relationships with others. You can view the full article at their site where you will get the most profound verses from the Bible on the quality of love..Bible Verses on the Power of LoveArticle written by Michael Bradley of Bible Knowledge Ministries. arrow right The Oldest Concept in History

I find it funny that one of the oldest concepts in the world has become one of modern society's biggest irritants. The problem with this is that the concept has been lost behind all the problems created by people who did not fully understand the concept to begin with. Religion is, by far, at the forefront of this list of problems. Government is close behind. So what is the concept we've lost? At the risk of sounding "philosophical", I'll put it in one word. God.The concept of God is a simple one. Or at least, it was at one point. God is everything. That's pretty much the long and short of it. At no point does religion enter into this, this is just a true and utter definition of the word god. Scientifically, it has been proven that all matter, even our own bodies, is made up of energy. All energy, broken down, is inevitably made of the same thing. Studies are currently being done to show that Energy broken down is, in fact, fluid and without separation. The Brookhaven National Laboratory has labelled this energy a "quark-gluon plasma" (for more information visit http://www.post-gazette.com/healthscience/19990614quarksoup1.asp). This simple fact is a clue into the realm of god. God is everything. No religion or faith involved. So where does this information lead us? Well, it gives us undeniable proof that all of reality is, without doubt, connected by something. The separation we see between us and anything else (chairs, people, animals, dirt, air, etc) is completely of our own making because that space is actually Connected by energy. This energy could be called "Life", "God" or "Reality", the label means nothing. The concept is true. All of life is connected.Understandably, this information seems a little pointless when faced with the toils and troubles of everyday life. People still feel separated from reality because they feel they have no control over reality. In fact, religion was based on this simple premise. Those people, so fearful of what might happen, turned to prayer and worship. The sad part about prayer and worship is that the people who feel the need to do these things often feel that, they themselves, are not good enough to understand "god's will". They feel that they could never have control of their lives because they are "flawed". Surely someone closer to God, someone "better", could tell them what to do. You and I both know that there are plenty of people out there just aching to prove they can be better, especially if it means taking responsibility away from someone else for their own life. And so, religion was born. So, if not religion, then what? Well, religion is basically nothing more than a group of people so puffed up in their own self-righteousness that they feel they need a certain "status" in the world. They feel they need worshippers, a church, hymns and prayers, and maybe a little advertising. Why? Because they feel they can guide you through the world better than you can guide yourself. Not all of them are self-serving, though in that position of trust the temptation is surely there, but they are nonetheless taking your life away from you. You, as a person, are responsible for one thing. Yourself. The things you own, the people you love, and the beliefs you follow are just things you've picked up along the way?they can leave just as quickly. You are responsible for one thing. How you "respond" to everything.I've went a little off topic here but I assure you there was a reason for it. Often, people will tell me that they have no faith in god because bad things happen all over the world. They have no faith in god because bad things have happened to them. They feel separated, as if there is no connection to anything around them and they're afraid. So the question here is "Who are you?". I don't mean your name, your status, or what you do. I don't want a description or even a short sonnet. I mean you?without the physical, without sight, sound, or touch. How do you know that you exist? You know you exist because you are aware of yourself. You know you exist because you can say "I am". So who are you, if not a name or label? Many people, throughout history, have asked this question. Unfortunately, they have been labelled "philosophers" for the most part, which usually puts them in a class we don't feel we can relate to. The sad part is that people ask this question everyday and always get slammed down by others saying "Don't be so philosophical (or religious)". There is nothing philosophical or religious about this question, it's just a good question. So, back to the question of who you are. For the moment, we'll call yourself "consciousness". It's a good term, and basically it means "the awareness of yourself". That awareness, we humans pride ourselves on it, and we often think we're the only species with it, but where does it come from? What is the spark that allows all living things to move around in and experience the world? Even science has shown that the human brain is almost like a giant sponge. Using electricity, different parts of the brain are stimulated to allow in more information. If you're a computer whiz, the term hard-drive might be more appropriate. The common belief is that as we interact with the world around us and "learn" different things, our brain forms to allow more information in and then comes up with an appropriate response. This is partly true, the brain does indeed receive information from the reality around it.In an article I read once, the Dalai Lama asked the question "why does the brain have to create consciousness, can consciousness not run the brain?" Obviously, we have no way to prove this, but it changes our entire concept of how the brain works. If consciousness is what drives the brain, then indeed all of our insights, intuitions, and instincts stem from that consciousness. Have you ever realized you knew something you had never actually thought about? Said something to someone else that, in fact, taught you something?Back to the original concept God as "everything", consciousness exists within the reality around us. It exists within that immense "quark-gluon plasma" and is therefore part of it. Almost everyone has heard the saying "God exists within us all". I know it sounds dogmatic and a little self-righteous but, taking away the religions context, what does that mean? Now, think about this, it's a strange concept at first. The human body and all matter (including electricity) is made of a very base energy that connects everything. The human brain collects information and runs the human body with the aid of Electricity to stimulate the parts of the mind needed to "record" a lesson.Sight, touch, sound, and all the senses are nothing more than our "physical bodies" interacting with the energy around us moving at different vibrations. After looking at these points, we now know where consciousness stems from. It stems from the energy around us. Everything is made of this "energy", not just physical things like furniture, but intangible things like thought as well. With that said, can it not be said that we, all matter (living or un-living), are indeed extensions of "God" Would we be able to say "I Am" if we were not connected to everything? No, because we would not exist. You see, the concept of God and Us is very simple. There are no religious "requirements", there are no "sins" or "hellworthy trespasses". There is simply you, and you are God. You are responsible for yourself, and that means how you affect everything else. You are a reflection of an infinite consciousness that wants to experience everything. This consciousness, God as we call it, is nothing more than the combined efforts of all of us. God's will is reflected in how we respond to the reality we're given. God's will is reflected when we relax and live without fear, because all of this is ours.Raymond Rheault is a mid-twenties

arrow right The Moment of Truth

Former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated to all of Israel, and the world last night that the moment of truth had arrived. Announcing his resignation as Finance Minister in the Sharon cabinet, he stated that he had been forced to remain in the government, and also remain mostly silent regarding his opposition to the disengagement over these last several months in order to complete his economic reforms, he claimed that he anguished over the continued march towards the disengagement with no signs of gaining anything in return. He also categorically pronounced what the rest of us have been shouting from the rooftops since its inception, he stated in no uncertain terms that this move would escalate terrorism, empower Hamas, and ultimately put the survival of the state in danger. While many felt his timing was strictly politically motivated to position himself to take control of the Likud party, wresting it away from Ariel Sharon, I must say I have a bit of a different take on it. Please read on to understand what it is and why I feel that way, and also what I really think about BiBi Netanyahu.I have watched Benjamin Netanyahu for the last twenty-five years or so and have never failed to be impressed with his intelligence, his ability to articulate a situation or concept, and his overall charisma in front of a camera. He is without a doubt a masterful politician, and that is a point to remember whenever we hear BiBi state a position or make a speech. Was the resignation last night from the Sharon government timed for maximum political impact? I'm sure to some extent it was, like I said, BiBi is a masterful politician. But there is something more about Benjamin Netanyahu that I have observed over the years, and that is what I believe to be an honest love for Israel and the Jewish people. I don't have time here to go into the history of BiBi or his heroic brother Jonathan, if you aren't aware of the Netanyahu history, you may want to read up on it. Many like to say that Benjamin will never be the star his older brother was who died in the daring rescue of Israeli Olympic athletes at Entebbe, but I don't think such comparisons are ever fair. No one knows what Jonathan would have done had he lived, and no person can ever walk in the shoes of another, especially a famous and beloved brother who died a national hero.I have no doubt that BiBi knows the score. He knows what the New World Order is all about since he was groomed by Kissinger and educated in the New York environs of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has proven that he will go along with the plan when he signed the Wye River accords with Clinton giving away an additional 13% of Judea and Samaria (the so called west bank) but he also has made moves to slow the progress of such plans and actually spoken out against them to some extent, which I believe is what ended up getting him removed from power. His problem is that Israeli society has a long memory and they feel betrayed by his giving in on this issue when he promised that he would never trade land for peace. It also cannot be ignored when he said in his speech last night that he believed we should get out of Gaza, he just objected to the way Sharon was doing it. This would appeal to a lot of Israelis who want out of Gaza because of the high cost of watching their sons murdered by terrorists. As you know I am 100% against any pull out of any part of Israel as I believe that it is part of the Jews biblical heritage and God ordained right to posses this land. It is not even in the power of the Jewish people not to possess this land, as it is God Himself that is bringing the Jews back to Israel to inhabit their inheritance. So where does BiBi fit in? Time will tell, but I think that he has a true Jewish heart, while Sharon, Perez, Beilin and the rest have the heart of Edomites, that is like Esau they despise their birthright. I may be completely wrong, but in the end I think that Netanyahu just may do the right thing and stand up against the world powers that are out to destroy Israel. Many will tell me that this is wishful thinking, and well it may be, but I think that Netanyahu has a lot of patience, and the determination to form a plan and see it through. He is much smarter than most of his opponents, and while they may gain the upper hand for a while, he will keep waiting for the right time to strike. My hope is that he will allow himself to look like a part of the problem knowing that at the right time he will prove to possess a heart like David.I am also a little worried however because the religious Zionists are flocking to him as their only hope right now as they gather at a rally in Tel-Aviv. Since BiBi announced that he too wants out of Gaza, he would not appear to be their long-term answer. What I do think could happen however as a result of his announcement and his speech is that the Israeli public could be woken up to the actual danger and stupidity of the plan Sharon is foisting upon the country right now. Netanyahu very passionately and articulately explained to an entire nation exactly why this plan was suicidal, and he carries a lot of weight in Israel, even if people are mad at him. If Netanyahu is truly the insider people think he is though, he could be another smoke screen to get the religious right to follow after a wicked shepherd who will lead them over a cliff. We only have a few days left until Tisha B'Av, which is the tradition time of mourning for a myriad of historic tragedies that have occurred on this day, from the evil report of the spies Moses sent into the promised land, to the destruction of the Temple, and this year seems to be poised to go down in history as another possible tragedy. Many are hoping that it will be a day of triumph, reversing the history of this date from a day of mourning to a day of rejoicing. If this evil plan of expulsion somehow is cancelled in the last few days, it will indeed be a miracle, and a time for rejoicing. My prayer is that God, and not Benjamin Netanyahu would get the glory. There will certainly be a backlash if this plan gets cancelled. The world is in a near froth that I believe will be turned up to a full fury if they are not rewarded with a victory over Religious Zionism and the God of Israel. The world will move forcefully to press Israel into a no win situation through sanctions, and even U.N., with possible U.S. troops, on the ground imposing the One World Order agenda upon the people of Israel with the capitulation of the Israeli government. In a recent article Barry Chamish, an investigative reporter here in Israel, who has stumbled upon the One World Order and written several books about the betrayal of Israel by their leftist leaders, received a phone call that confirmed something I had always suspected. Barry has written extensively about the fact that Shimon Peres was behind the murder of Yitzhak Rabin, and this conversation focuses on the details surrounding that murder, but in the midst of it is something I find much more revealing. That is the origin of the disengagement plan, and the ultimate motive for it:Three days ago I received a phone call from Oslo. The caller was Henry Gluksman, the advance man for the Oslo negotiations. He read my website and was impressed by my Rabin murder research. The first thing he said was,

arrow right Heads I Win, Tails You Lose

In a time when public scrutiny is becoming tighter and more pervasive businesses have learned that they need to be on guard more than ever to ensure they are operating by ethical standards. Though not often mentioned in this discussion, I believe it is especially true of Christian organizations in whom trust is placed by donors. The old adage "heads I win, tails you lose" has a particular bite on this that says ouch. That's not the way it's supposed to be.John Dalla Costa, in his book The Ethical Imperative, provides numerous examples of businesses that sought to play by this rule. By cutting ethical corners (playing games of delay and dodge when it came to expenses for health and safety requirements) many were "winning" the economic game in the short run, but losing over the long-term through fines, restrictions, and erosion of public confidence. By covering up illegal employee practices and denying basic benefits as a reward for helping to make the company profitable they again "saved money," over the short term only to see the long-term effects of this neglect take an economic toll in the form of low employee morale and employee lawsuits. Many of the business Dalla Costa cites are no longer in existence. For them it was "heads I win temporarily, tails I lose permanently. What can Christian non-profit organizations learn from this? For one, boards need to be more involved. Many Christian organizations have boards that "trust" the organization's management to operate by ethical standards. They meet and simply listen to the glowing reports of success without asking probing nature. Secondly, Christian organizations need to pay close attention to its employee practices. This is the biggest area of litigation faced by non-profits today. Third, Christian organizations need to exercise care in ensuring donor intentions are adhered to in the application and usage of contributions. Fourth, Christian organizations should put in place appropriate internal control procedures to ensure that financial transactions are handled with care and efficiency. Many well meaning Christian ministries advertise themselves with lofty Christian ideals, such as-"We operate at the highest levels of integrity.""In all our decisions we are guided by the lordship of Christ.""The worth and value of every individual is given the highest respect."The list could go on an on. The point is these are all subjective statements that cannot be measured in any rational way. And when perception becomes the guiding instrument through which evaluation of business practices takes place, it makes any challenge to leadership anathema. The landscape of Christian organizations gone sour as a result of focus on short-term gains at the expense long-term effectiveness, and at the expense of honesty and full disclosure, is dotted with embarrassing examples of ministries that have been less than circumspect in their principles of operation. These kinds of organizations may not have the luxury of changing their business practices based on boards waking up to the realities of what has been happening or leaders realizing they need to be more forthcoming in their standards. New laws brought on by the scandals of Enron and other public corporations are casting their shadows over the private sector as well. When Christian organizations are forced into correction by the public sector rather than by their own policies and governing boards the whole scenario is changed. It is still "heads I win, tails you lose," but the loser becomes the ministry that has allowed itself to sacrifice long-term effectiveness for short-term gain. The other side of the coin, quite literally, is public shame, humiliation, and embarrassment. Trying to beat the odds of the consequences of public scrutiny is a coin toss in which a Christian organization would not want to become a participant.David J. Moore is Vice President of Research and Development for Compassion Alliance, a humanitarian aid ministry with offices in Nixa, Missouri and Ocala, Florida. The Sun god, Mithras, was the most widely worshipped deity in the Roman Empire in the first century when Christianity was first forming. Mithras was called the Son of God, the light of the world, he was a redeemer and savior and his birthday was celebrated on December twenty-fifth. He eventually died and was buried in a cave and was resurrected three days later. Sound familiar? Constantine is said to have converted to Christianity but that is pure 'Spin' from the editor of the Bible. He was a Mithras worshipper and they are Heliopolitans or Luciferians just like Hitler and his 'torch-bearer' crap. IESA is in Iesoos of the fish symbol and IXOYE as well as many other pre-Christian things they appropriated; which the Father of Biblical Archaeology says shows the Bible is a 'Phoenician literary legacy'. It is not the first time you have heard about it.Iesa also can be shown in Zeus and Hijaz or even Giza or Gizeh when you understand the aspirant 'H' which still allows people to pronounce Jesus as Hey-soos or Julio as Who-lio. The lack of 'J' in most pre-Christian alphabets is important and we can learn a lot about words when we take out the vowels and look for doubling or reversing consonants. I think doubling shows a removal from the original so we see Bible and Babel and Byblos are all from BL or Bel and Ba'al whose city or 'bek' is very ancient indeed.'So a Jew includes all those noble arch-tectons (see Septuagint) who built the Pyramid - that means all elites. And elites have been known to use their FLOCK as sword or cannon fodder. Hitler learned about this ancient culture of Wotan, Iesa, the Vaner and the Gaedhils who are the builders of the Pyramid in pre-Hyksos time.'"Conor Newman, an archaeology lecturer at the National University of Ireland at Galway, located the subterranean temple of Tara. Since 1992, Newman has been working on the Hill of Tara preparing a survey of the area for the state-funded Discovery Program. He found the Tara monument using an underground radar device. 'It fills a very important place in the jigsaw because it allows us to make sense of the distribution of other monuments all around it,' says Newman.1The Discovery Program, set up under the auspices of the Heritage Council, carried out a survey of the Hill of Tara between 1992 and 1996 when Mr. Newman was director. When Mr. Newman moved to Galway he continued to be involved in the project. Using sophisticated technology, he and his team of experts mapped what was underground. Like Theseus, they seek the secrets of the labyrinth-dwelling Mino-Taur, the King of Tara. The work is slow and tedious, because it has yielded such a huge amount of information. What they uncovered eventually at the crown of the hill was a huge, oval-shaped monument measuring about 170 meters at its widest point. Around it are 300 postholes measuring two meters wide. Evidence indicates this `Crown' (tiara) of Tara was constructed through an enormous effort. 300 towering oak posts once surrounded the hill.'We think it probably dates from 2500 to 2300 BC and still had a big physical presence even after the posts were taken out or rotted,' Mr. Newman said.2This is the approximate time of Abraham, the

arrow right For Those Who Cannot Speak For Themselves: My Own Abortion Story

(Parental discretion advised)Please forgive me if you find any part of the following message offensive. I realize that, because so many people receive these messages from so many diverse backgrounds, there will be those who have conflicting views regarding the subject of abortion. There will be those of both genders who have been involved with an abortion in some way. They will have their views and I'm entitled to mine as well.To these, I have this to say: IF abortion is murder as some say, and certainly we all acknowledge murder as a sin, Jesus is the only alternative for having those sins forgiven just as I've had my many sins forgiven, for mine are no less offensive to a Holy God. We've all sinned and have fallen short of His glory, Scripture tells us. So, whether we're talking about abortion, rape, murder, lust, greed, rage, gossip...it's all sin and only the blood of Christ can save any of us.To those who believe abortion is murder and is, therefore, wrong, I have this to say: I'll stand by as you cast that first stone. People who hurt people are hurting people and need our compassion, mercy and help. NOT a condemning finger pointed at their faces. If you feel compelled to fight for those who cannot defend themselves, don't blow up an abortion clinic or handcuff yourself to one of its doors. Don't carry a bigger sign or yell louder than those across the line. Instead, give them water and set up a portable pavilion to provide shade. Love them and see if it doesn't open up the door for intelligent dialogue and ministry opportunities. They'll know we are Christians by our love. Even our enemies will recognize that. Simply put, what would Jesus do? He died for His enemies. To those considering abortion, I have this to say: I'm sure you'd agree that in order to make good decisions, we need good information. Agreed? Please consider and even pray about the information contained herein. Go to Pro-Life as well as Pro-Abortion websites, bearing in mind that they cannot both be right. People are either lying to you or telling you the truth. That's the way life is. If a statement isn't true, what else can it be but a lie? Right? There are no half-truths or white lies. Something is either true or false, despite today's culture that resists absolutes. Here's a tip: check out the leadership, the founders from which a group's philosophy flows; its roots. For example, Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood. Her first handbook, published for adolescents in 1915 and entitled, What Every Boy and Girl Should Know, featured a startling afterward in which Sanger wrote: It is a vicious cycle; ignorance breeds poverty and poverty breeds ignorance. There is only one cure for both, and that is to stop breeding these things. Stop bringing to birth children whose inheritance cannot be one of health or intelligence. Stop bringing into the world children whose parents cannot provide for them.Personally, I cannot side with a woman with a philosophy so contrary to what Jesus Christ taught. You can make your own decision in this same way. Here's my story. For 14 years, I was not at liberty to discuss the details of which you are about to read. The contents of this article are being written and spoken about openly with permission in recognition of the fact that others my be helped. Hopefully, many others.I became a serious Christian in February of 1987. Prior to that, I had merely

arrow right Living Proof: We are Living in the Days of Noah

A familiar phrase used in Bible prophecy is the term "Days of Noah." Jesus warned, "For as in the days of Noah before the flood, they were eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the very day Noah entered the ark. And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away-so will be the coming of the Son of Man (Matthew 24: 38-39.)" This illustration is used to show mankind what signs they must look for upon Christ return. The book of Genesis records that before flooding the Earth, the Lord saw that the wickedness of men was great, and that every intent of the thoughts of men's heart was continually evil. This description can easily be applied to the current times we are living in. From all corners of the Earth, various societies can hear the bloodthirsty hearts of the terrorist beating to the same deadly drum. Are there more clues that allude to the fact that we are truly indeed living in the Days of Noah? Could there have been more going on besides the wickedness the Lord witnessed?According to the Book of Jasher, there was certainly something else was happening. The book of Jasher is a historical book referenced in Joshua Chapter 10 Verse 13 and 2nd Samuel Chapter 1 Verse 18. It describes that during the Days of Noah:

arrow right John Roberts and Madalyn Murray ? The Turtle and the OHare

Although I've never met Supreme Court nominee John Roberts, I did have a run in of sorts with America's most notorious atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hare in the nineteen eighties. As I walked into a radio station to drop off tapes of my former radio show the DJ called to me from within his booth. As I entered the booth he said "we have a minister here that may be able to answer that question." He pulled a chair up to the microphone and beckoned for me to sit. He whispered to me that it was a phone connection from somewhere in Texas and Madalyn Murray O'Hare was on the line being interviewed. My volunteering it seemed was already far underway so I acquiesced and listened to O'Hare's questions. I calmly answered each question and the more I did the angrier she seemed to get. The final straw was when she asked me if I wouldn't agree that all any minister was interested in was money. She said that even I was only doing ministry for the bucks. She missed by a mile when she asked that question. I told her that my present ministry was completely voluntary and I received nothing for my labors.O'Hare was only a hair short of using four letter words in a wild retort that lasted so long I thought the DJ was going to cut her off. In fact only a few words later he did just that. I have been unable not to notice that in the cases of people I've met who were demon possessed that this same kind of anger always exists. They curse a lot and think nothing of blaspheming God. Also worthy of note is that the Bible says the last world leader who is completely possessed by the Devil cannot speak without blaspheming God or the people of God. Rev 13:6 KJVI have been amazed of late that when I mention Madalyn O'Hare to anyone under twenty one years old; many of them do not know who she is. In 1964 O'Hare was said to be America's most hated women according to Life Magazine. She was hated because she single handedly managed to get prayers removed from the American public school system. In the case of, Murray v. Curlet in 1963 O'Hare won a landmark victory which summarily removed prayer from our schools. She caught the churches off guard and the best of the clergy sleeping at the wheel. I have often thought that her complete victory that was done almost stealthily and with almost no resistance should be given much study. A comparison can made to the victories of Adolph Hitler who managed to swing a nation into the murky waters of the Third Reich, while the church debated theology, held rummage sales and generally slept until the water was too dark to see through at all. After that the responses of the church in Germany fell under the heading of?Too little, too late.Perhaps like the turtle who through persistence and a bit of cunning finally took the lead in that famous fantasy race, Mr. Roberts may be America's favorite to win as candidate for the Supreme Court. For the conservatives he is the top pick but even the most nervous liberals would have to back up a bit at Robert's shining record. Now released to the Senate Judiciary Committee, is more than 5000 pages of material from the Ronald Reagan Library on the details of John Roberts government service. In a memo dated November 21, 1985 Roberts said he was critical of the decision to halt voluntary prayer in schools and that such a decision was essentially not mandated by the Constitution. The race did not end twenty years ago in the minds of any Americans. The O'Hare grabbed the lead and if it were not for side issues in her life (much like the diversions of the hare) she may still be in the race. Rule are rules and side trips notwithstanding for the hare the turtle it seems is about to make a showing. Roberts can't bring prayer back in single handed but he is the best scale tipping promise since the race began. Will voluntary prayer in our schools heal all the problems our school system now faces? Of course it won't heal all the problems. It may start to remove the insult given to the God that most of us worship. It may help to abate the insult of not acknowledging God to our most precious gift, our youth. It will also begin to balance the unwillingness we have had to even mention him against his willingness to bless us with goods and materials above any nation in history. Our newest self appointed enemy, militant Islam doesn't flinch when it comes to prayer. Several times throughout the day Muslims stop everything they are doing to pray. Whether we agree that the God they pray to really be God at all is another matter entirely. Their dedication to these prayers should be enough to shame any Christian, any American. The Senate hearings may be what lead to the final decision about John Roberts but I submit that there is at least one thing we can do to help the outcome of the hearings. It is something we can't miss again like we did in the sixties.
