arrow right Salvation of the Jews to Determine the Lords Return: the Churches Greatest

Jesus won't come until the Jewish people are saved. Why the salvation of the Jewish people is your greatest priority in prayer!Maybe you live in a town or city far removed from Israel, and maybe you don't even know any Jewish people. Perhaps you go to church every Sunday, and even give support to the annual missions drive, but praying daily for the salvation of the Jewish people? well? that is surely something someone is doing somewhere. Right? Maybe you are even a Jewish believer but you have never felt the burden of prayer. Or perhaps you are a missionary and the Lord has placed a calling on your life to travel to a third world country, so why should you worry about praying for Israel and the Jewish people?"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee." Psalm 122:6In this verse, we must ask, what is the peace of Jerusalem? Certainly it isn't the state of affairs today. So should we pray for half of the city to be given to the Arabs? Will that bring peace? History shows that it will only increase the conflict. Ok? what about giving Jerusalem over to the Vatican or the United Nations, they can certainly keep the peace, maybe that is what we should pray for. Is God's inheritance a mere political football? Can man govern what God has ordained as His?No, peace, true peace, can only come when Yeshua (Jesus) reigns from His throne, in His city, Jerusalem, and all the world bows their knee to their King Messiah. Yeshua, Jesus, IS the Peace of Jerusalem! So why is the peace of Jerusalem important to some one in Paris, or London, or Peoria, Illinois?Because there will not be worldwide peace until the Kingdom of God is established in the Earth, and the place He has declared to be the capital of His earthly kingdom is Jerusalem. The world will continue to sink into greater darkness and evil until the coming Great Day of the Lord. So our earnest desire as believers ought to be His soon coming in order to bring an end to suffering, and to see the glory of our Savior proclaimed in all the earth. So how does this coming of the Lord depend on the salvation of the Jewish people? I'm glad you asked. From Genesis to Revelation, God revealed a plan, a perfect plan for the redemption of all mankind to Himself. A vital part of that plan was to establish a people, holy and separated to Him through whom the world would know the one true God. So often I have heard or read about how the Jews failed in their mission, but what was their mission? I believe it was to establish in the hearts of men that:1)There is only One true God2)That mankind is inherently evil3)That we are unable to save ourselves for our goodness is as filthy rags4)That only through the grace of God and the sacrifice offered by His Son could we be saved. In this the Jews succeeded remarkably in fulfilling exactly their calling. How can I say this?Firstly throughout their history leading up to the first coming of Yeshua, they faithfully recorded the word that God gave them, and the successes and failures they had in trying to keep God's commandments. They never changed the words of the prophets, and they didn't gloss over their sins, they faithfully recorded for all of mankind the battle that wages within the human soul that is enslaved to sin, but seeking to be reunited to their heavenly Father in righteousness. Without the Law, as Paul said, we would not know what sin was. Without the Jews faithfully recording the law, and their failure to keep it, we would not know how to interpret God's commandments to us. No other nation or people ever received such revelation, and no other nation or people could have done a more honest and thorough job of delivering it to the world.Secondly even while under the persecution of God for their disobedience and driven from their land, they took their holy book with them to every nation, and by their sacrifice, they introduced the word of God to every culture. No nation can stand before God and say they didn't have an opportunity to know the truth. The sins of the fathers flow from generation to generation, and whole nations suffer under the curse of their forefathers rejection of the revealed word of God, in fact I believe even the "lost" societies today that claim to have never seen the word of God before, living in remote jungles that scientist say have never connected with the outside world, are actually the result of centuries of societal decay from what was once the rejection of the word of God. I can't prove it, it is just my belief. The world today knows about the God of Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac because of the travail of the Jewish people."Now if the fall of them [be] the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fullness?" Romans 11:12Do you understand what Paul was saying here? By the failure of the Jews to keep the law and by their rejection of the Messiah, the Gentiles (nations of the world) were able to receive the salvation that they would never have received otherwise. The ensuing punishment of the Jewish people was God's just recompense for them turning from His blessing when they had lived in His very presence, but you must not miss the second part of that sentence? how much more their fullness? You see God is a covenant keeping God, and He is jealous over His name, he does not like it when the world mocks his people or diminishes His name. He said He sent them out of the land for a little punishment, but the world treated them severely. Being cast out of their land for a time was to be punishment enough, but the world exacted pogroms and death camps, and the holocaust. This was mankind's evil, not God's plan. God however still has a plan and that is to cleanse the iniquity of His people, and to restore them to their land and a place of honor amongst the nations. To establish through them a kingdom of priest through whom will go out the word and grace of God to the whole earth. You see, while the nations have been given the gospel of salvation, the truth is that when it comes to the blessings of God being poured out upon all flesh, 'we ain't seen nothin' yet!'If you read your bible from beginning to end (you would be amazed at how many professing Christians and even pastors never have) then you will clearly see an emerging picture of the visitation to the people of Israel, their failing under the yoke of the law, the coming of grace and salvation to all nations, and the redemption of the people of Israel through the grace of their Messiah in order that no man can boast. Boast of what? Of the ability to reach God through the keeping of a law and of their own good works. The only way back to the Father is through the atoning blood sacrifice of the true Passover Lamb, Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus the Christ)The full understanding of this undeniable fact, that being the end time restoration and salvation of the Jewish people, brings the following point into crystal clarity. Jesus won't return, until His people cry out to Him."O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen [doth gather] her brood under [her] wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until [the time] come when ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord." Luke 13:34-35In Hebrew we say it like this "Baruch Ha Ba B'Shem Adonai". This scripture was addressed to who? The Jewish people! You see Jesus said He would not return to Jerusalem until His people called out for Him and blessed His name. And to where is Jesus going to return? Well if you are reading the same bible I am He is going to step on the Mount of Olives and split it in half. He is returning to Jerusalem! So if you have been longing for the coming of Messiah, then you had better get to work praying for the veil to be lifted from the eyes of the Jewish people, and for their salvation. Because Yeshua, the Jewish Savior who has extended His grace to the gentile world as well, is not coming back until the day that they call out "Baruch Ha Ba B'Shem Adonai"!I can encourage you about the soon coming of the Lord by telling you that thousands of Jews in Israel, and even in Jerusalem itself today sing these very words regularly to the Lord. Never in history have their been more Jewish people that believe in Yeshua. But we need to see the veil lifted from all of the Jewish people worldwide, and prayer is our greatest spiritual tool in accomplishing that. From prayer God can provide personal opportunities to be a living witness, and also organized outreaches of various types, but it all is birthed in intercession. If you have dismissed Israel and the Jewish people from your sense of personal obligation, then you might want to rethink your position. For the church who has mystically assigned the promises of Israel to themselves and declared the Jewish people forgotten by God, I think you are in for a surprise, because when the Lord comes back it is going to be to His chosen people first. Clearly, He is still on their side! Please read all of Romans Chapter eleven and ponder it, because as a believer you don't want to find yourself on the opposite side of the fence when it comes to the Apple of God's eye, Israel. There is no more important activity for any Christian around the world today than to be giving themselves to daily prayer and intercession for the Jewish people and their inheritance Israel. The coming of the Lord depends on it.Go ahead with your other callings and activities, but on your list of priorities, I would urge you to place at the top of your list, praying for the salvation of the Jewish people, the turning back of the enemies of Israel, and for the Peace of Jerusalem. To all of those who claim that Israel and the Jewish people aren't relevant today, I say your hope is in vain. I make the point one last time; Jesus won't come back, until the Jewish people are saved. arrow right Knowledge Of The Power

For it is written in Proverbs 1:7 it says The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Some may ask, what is knowledge? Well let's see what the Bible says. In Proverbs 18:16 it says A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great. Now in Proverbs 19:2 it says It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, and nor to be hasty and miss the way.In the Book of Psalms 73:7 it says From their callous hearts comes iniquity, the evil conceits of their minds know no limits. They scoff, and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression. Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth. Therefore their people turn to them and drink up water in abundance. They say, How can God know? Does the Most High have knowledge? This is what the wicked are like-always carefree, and they increase in wealth. Now in the book of Habakkuk 2:14 it says For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the water cover the sea. In John 15:1 it says I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.We are treasures in jars of clay. Look at 2Corinthians 4:6 it says For God who said, Let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. It is written; I believed; therefore I have spoken. With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. In 2Corinthians 2:14 it says But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal processions in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.Now in Ephesians 3:17 it says So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in ever kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.Devotion to what is good. Look in the book of Titus 3:14 it is says Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order that they may provide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives. God knew us before we even knew ourselves. In Psalms 139:13 it says For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.Remember this in the book of 1Corinthians 13:2 it says If I have the give of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. We must love one another. The Bible is the True Knowledge of the Power! In conclusion look at 2Peter 3:18 it says But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.Love Always, Your Sister in Christ, Mellody DavisEnjoy more reading at; http://www.hostinghelps.com/allaboutjesus/AboutJesus.html

arrow right The Afterlife and Scientology

AFTERLIFE: The 'Bardol Thodol' and 'Sidpa Thodol' of the Tibetan Book of the Dead with a forward by Carl Jung and Lama Anagarika Govinda, by Evans-Wentz is a great insight to the hallucinatory nature of the images we carry forward beyond the grave. These hallucinations (beliefs) go away and the 'white light' is all that remains. The 'white light' may not be seen by those still attached to this material plane and its' obsessions or propaganda for quite some period of time. The interstitial states of purgatory and limbo(words with all kinds of fables that are far from true, associated with them) are the realms wherein these devious 'visions' play out their energy upon the soul of unenlightened 'followers' of many belief systems. That is a simplistic overview, to say the least.Moody's work on 'Life After Death' documents in real epistemic terms a plethora of cases that boil down to 15 stages that are common and eight of which most people go through. From conversations with people who've had heart by-pass or other Near Death Experiences (NDEs) I am sure there is much merit in his work. Elizabeth Kubler-Ross was a great student and scholar from UCLA who I met and heard talk of these things. In the final analysis I find much of the quantum physical world has the best descriptions of what kind of realities other dimensions allow. However, we are all not able to understand that which we are not physically involved with, so allow me to visit with 'Seth Speaks' by Jane Roberts as well as L. Ron Hubbard, Jr. for a moment; he says:

arrow right Bishoprics

BISHOP OF CARCASSONNE: - There are so many exemplars of deceit and greed who have worn the mantle of Bishop or Arch-Bishop. It continues to the present day to say the least but fortunately some of these men of the cloth are being exposed in court and not just in the hiding places of their fine churches where they have conducted all manner of ghastly and abusive acts throughout the ages. Bishop Ussher of Armaugh is one who comes to mind but I will put another place and person forward for your consideration.Huge amounts of money can be made by priests who recognize rich people lose their faculties as they near death and feel guilty for acts they have been part of in their life. The Catholic Church had instituted celibacy for the express reason of making it so no priest could pass his fortune to any offspring (and they treated illegitimates as if they had no legal standing while also making any adoptees the subject of rumor or charges about sexual impropriety). This meant that the priest or cleric would in fact have to leave his estate to the church. I like reading the reports of Gregory of Tours. Make no mistake about it, there are financial opportunities galore in these spiritual high places, and some of the good priests found ways to circumvent the Church even after the celibacy laws were made. There are two Bishops of Carcassonne that deserve our inspection. It is possible that Saunière was especially gifted in getting old people's money but I doubt he could have raised the amounts he spent and whatever amount he left with his concubine Marie, through such efforts. The first Bishop may have taught Sauniere some things about these illicit affairs and they may have had a public fight to keep attention away from some of their mutual hanky-panky."In Sauniere's garden is a statue erected to commemorate the visit of the Bishop of Carcassonne, Mgr. Billard.Mgr. Billard had an affinity for very rich families, especially the older members of those families. He was brought to court by members of a family from Coursan for having coerced their matriarch into signing over all her belongings to the Bishop. She was declared of 'Unsound' mind. Curiously, Mgr. Billard arranged to have the will signed over to himself as Monsieur Billard, not Monseigneur (Mgr.) Billard. His Notary was from Rouen; where the actual execution of the will took place. (Jarnac, Archives, p. 464 to 468).Apparently, Billard conducted himself in this fashion with several families and their patrons. It is certainly not inconceivable that Billard may have shown Sauniere how to do this for himself, as well as others. One priest in particular accused the Bishop of Simony and having stolen over 1 Million Francs from the Diocese pension fund. After an investigation by the Vatican, it found that Billard had seriously mismanaged his diocese and was forced to give 200 000 francs to the monastery of Prouille. (Jarnac, Archives, p. 464) He passed away on December 3rd, 1901.Mgr Billard's replacement, Paul-Felix Beauvain de Beausejour was named Bishop of Carcassonne on May 13th 1902. Mgr. Beausejour found a diocese that was close to ruin due to Mgr. Billard's mismanagement. Mgr Billard had let subordinate priests administer their parishes as they saw fit as long as they stayed out of trouble and did not undermine his authority. It was 4 years before the newly appointed Bishop asked Sauniere to explain his source of income. Apparently, several complaints had been lodged against Berenger Sauniere locally but their origins were never revealed; and some were simply inquiries into Sauniere's character from other countries such as Italy, France, Belgium and Switzerland. (Jarnac, Histoire, p. 193)The Bishop's first move was to transfer Saunière to Coustouge parish as of January 22nd, 1909. In retaliation, Beranger Saunière tendered his resignation ten days later, on February 1st, 1909.The mayor of Rennes-le-Chateau complained to the Bishop in a letter dated February 6th, 1909, that Rennes-le-Chateau supported it's priest, Berenger Saunière, and that in the event the priest was moved, the villages of Esperaza and Rennes-le-Chateau would 'desert the Church,' (Jarnac, Histoire, p. 194) Saunière's replacement would be met with empty seats. The Mayor also mentioned to the Bishop that the Presbytery had been leased for another 5 years therefore, his replacement would have to seek shelter elsewhere. He could not refuse the new priest but he could make it so that the outsider would not have an easy time of it. arrow right Priesthood is Not a Profession - Does this Attest for Unprofessionalism?

1 INTRODUCTIONAS IN THE ABSTRACT2 WHY PRIESTHOOD IS NOT A PROFESSION?There is a valid reasoning behind the view that priesthood is not a profession. Because, the primary motivating factor in choosing a profession is the 'remuneration' received or monetary benefits involved. The secondary factors are job satisfaction, fulfillment, sense of achievement, success and so on. It should be noted here that reversal of primary and secondary motivating factors is not an unconceivable and uncommon possibility. As a minister of God, one cannot be driven by the 'remuneration' factor or afford to have a 9 to 5 work schedule after which the priest is not available or may not be disturbed. Neither can a priest's ministry be entirely counted on job satisfaction or achievement. Nor is the call to priesthood just a call to be successful. Similar sentiments were made evident in the 1983 Code of Canon law. Reinforcing the above sentiments the 1983 Code of Canon Law, changed the term 'stipend' of the 1917 Code to 'offering' for the money given to a priest to celebrate Eucharist. The 1983 Code saw the term 'offering' more fitting because the word 'stipend' would have connotations of payment in return for a job performed. But the word 'offering' brings out the aspect of something that is given freely 'for the honor of God or for the poor'. These are the considerations that are involved in the argument that priesthood is not a profession. This paper would now go on to discuss the differences between choosing one's profession and realizing one's call to priesthood.2.1 PROFESSION VS VOCATION TO PRIESTHOODAs a member of any society, everyone is expected to contribute to that society in a productive way. This has twofold benefits. First, in terms of the individual, it enables one to earn one's living, and it gives the individual the purpose for one's existence and meaning and fulfillment in one's life. The second benefit is to the society. The individual's talents and abilities are utilized by the society to meet the diverse needs of its members including the basic needs. It would take only common sense to realize that it is impossible for everyone to do everything. Imagine for instance that if every individual has to meet all his or her needs by himself or herself ? a situation where one has to grow his or her own food, raise his or her own livestock for milk, meat, and wool and hide, grow his or her own cotton and make one's own clothes, treat oneself of ailments, make one's own bricks and produce cement and cast iron and build one's own house out of these material and manufacture one's own vehicles and find one's own fuel boring the earth ? how complicated life in this planet would be? Societal living simplifies life. It pools together various talents and abilities and workforce and human-power and makes it available to the individuals in the form of finished products and necessary commodities. So everyone need not have to do everything, but only contribute their part. Thus it can be either the need in or of a particular society or time or one's interest which determines one's profession. The individual is free to choose one's profession basing on monetary benefits or based on one's aptitude irrespective of proportional monetary gain.In today's competitive world, in any profession one has to be highly competent to be successful and to stay in the game or else one would be put out of use. It means one has to equip oneself and undergo appropriate training. One's personal worth is measured against one's position in the ladder of success. The pressure of competition is so incredible that no one has any time for anything else or anybody else, not even for themselves. Everybody is busy trying to keep him or herself in the game lest the world would label them as 'losers'.Thus, the factors that control the entire cybernetics of 'profession' are to be seen in the following: Profit, Power, Success, Staying in the game, Esteem, Self-Worth, Individualism, Wealth and Prosperity. These are both motivating and control factors of the whole gamut of 'professions'. However, it should be acknowledged here that these are the general trends. There are exceptions. There are people who choose and stay in a profession not necessarily because of the above factors but because of personal convictions. This paper's interest is to be seen in the general trend and not in the exceptions. In contrast, Priesthood is perceived as a special call from God to dedicate oneself in a special way different from those who have been called to serve Him through married life. The individual feels the divine call in his heart in a way chosen by God to inspire the individual. For some, the call is realized during one's moments of success or achievement. For some others, it is realized during the sense of emptiness that follows one's moment of glory and success or achievement. Others realize it during their moments of failure or depression. For some their wealth and riches become instrumental in realizing this call and it is in their poverty some others become aware of this call. One can go on listing a number of occasions, through which God chooses to inspire one to priestly life. But in all these forms God is the author of one's priestly vocation as the traditional paradigms of 'call to priesthood' teach us: God takes the first step and the individual either responds or negatively positively to the call.- [Jn 15:16]Thus, the call to priesthood asks of the individual, not success but service, not power but sacrifice and self giving, not status and achievements but a willing heart and its end is not material profit but realization of God's will through that call. With a striking variation between the dynamics as noted above 'priesthood' may not be possibly be considered as just another 'profession'. Priesthood is not something one does to earn one's living rather it is ruled by the spirit of responding to God's call and serving God. The following words of Pope Paul IV summarizes what has been said above and spells out clearly what is asked of priesthood: "Let me, as the representative of Christ, give you two basic principles to guide your priestly life?- Pope Paul VI, to newly-ordained priests 10-12-68."3 WHY THEN PROFESSIONALISM?If priesthood cannot be treated as one of the professions then what makes for the argument of this paper that a priest cannot afford to be unprofessional in his ministry irrespective of what ever his ministry demands from him? The following discussion will try to answer this question.3.1 DEMAND ON TODAY'S PRIESTHOODIn contrast to the Old Testament priesthood, New Testament priesthood was never confined to sacrificial sphere alone. A priest performs and is expected to perform a lot more than his duties of the altar. Vatican II declares that,

arrow right Under Siege!

This Article is the result of another hard night of realizing the fact that the Church is falling into deception. This was a particularly hard night for me. The first 15 paragraphs of this Article were written while I literally balled my sorry eyes out. (I just had a major eye transplant surgery, so that was not a comfortable experience). I was happy that my wife went to bed before the tears started. I just felt so sorry and sad for the things that are happening in America today, as what probably amounts to the greatest country the earth has ever seen is reduced to another fascist, police state, basking in religious bigotry. I am not marveled by that too much, I mean this is what the kingdoms of this world do, it's no big surprise. That the Church in America is lending wholehearted and vigorous support to this stuff however is just tragic. Anyone who has read any of the stuff on this site knows, that the primary thrust of our ministry here is to present, primarily to the church and Christians, the reasons why the Word of God does not include any justification for the Church's involvement in the affairs of these kingdoms. This Article is yet another attempt to bring that truth fourth, and to call the Christian back to his original ground, which is holy ground, not the grounds of

arrow right Spiritual Healing or Spiritual Malpractice?

Christians with chronic illness need to know there is a source for healing beyond secular medicine that does not follow the pattern or knowledge of this world. That source is spiritual and comes from God! But there is a problem. Millions of Christians are being robbed the gift of spiritual healing through spiritual malpractice.Numerous Christian traditions (doctrines) hold that the time of miraculous healing, spiritual healing, or by whatever name it is known by, is over. These traditions claim the time of divine healing, anointing with oil and laying on of hands ended when the last Apostle died. With this kind of teaching, no wonder there is so much confusion, sickness and suffering. Those who make the claim that God no longer intervenes in this world through spiritual healing need to ask themselves one question. From who did this claim originate, God or Satan? If from God, then His will be done. But what if this teaching is not from God? Suppose it is from Satan whispering in the ear of man that God has ended spiritual healing. What then? What is the consequence of believing and teaching such a doctrine?Such a doctrine and Church leaders who proclaim it would be responsible for denying millions of chronically ill Christians the gift of spiritual healing. For elders, pastors and Church clergy are all charged with the spiritual oversight of their flocks. The doctrines they teach have real consequences.Spiritual Malpractice:Canon Mark Pearson, author of Christian Healing, put it this way, "To keep the ministry of healing from God's people because it happens not to interest Church leaders of a given congregation is as much spiritual malpractice as it would be medical malpractice for a hospital to refuse to treat heart attacks because the staff preferred only to treat pneumonia."Spiritual malpractice is a serious charge, because those who teach will be judged more strictly (James 3:1). More importantly, think of the millions of people who may have gone to an early grave, all because they believed God no longer heals. The Church today is but a shadow of the godly influence it once enjoyed, due largely to the unclean spirit that whispered in the ear of man that God is out of the healing business. It is a lie from the father of lies.Creating Confusion::Many Church leaders today teach that healing must be instantaneous, something that is immediate to be called a miracle. But God's Word does not limit spiritual healing to the instantaneous. The word "miracle" simply means of divine or supernatural intervention. All healing is divine and miraculous by its nature (Exodus 15:26).The view held that spiritual healing must be instantaneous to be a miracle has led many Christians to abandon their faith in God to heal altogether. They reason: Almost no one is instantly healed of chronic illness; therefore, whatever healing may occur must happen through physical means beyond the direct intervention of God. Can you see the fallacy here?Without the direct intervention of God, could there be healing of any kind? God's Holy Word tells us that God is Yehovah-rapha, God our healer. But just for a moment, imagine that God has turned His back on healing the sick. You fall sick with illness. The doctors tell you there is nothing more they can do. You are not expected to survive. What a bleak picture! Not because the doctors tell you that they can't help you, but because God is out of the picture.Friend, this is what happens many times a day in churches all across the land: Churches turn the sick in the body of Christ out to the world. God has not abandoned His children as their healer; Churches have abandoned God as our healer! When the teachers of the law wanted to know by what power or name the Apostle, Peter, administered spiritual healing to a crippled man, Peter replied?"It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed...Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." - Acts 4:10-12 (NIV)Notice that Peter made no distinction between the man's healing and salvation, because both are found in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (the Gospel). Although the men Peter addressed did not want to believe him, they nevertheless understood his statement. Why can't we? Peter said this man was healed, not because he (Peter) is an Apostle, one of a select group of men, but because of the healing power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What a statement! This is the crux of the cross, the absolute beginning and end for all healing, be it physical or spiritual. Nothing has happened to change this truth since Peter spoke those words 2,000 years ago. For just as God intends freedom from oppression for all mankind, so too is God's intention for spiritual healing through Jesus Christ our Lord.Jim Lynn is the publisher of God's Healing Word, a free newsletter, and author of the book,

arrow right The Toilet Philosophy

Dr. Robins' observations are beyond mere intuition, they include an attunement with what Bucky Fuller called Synergistics; there is so much for mankind and modern science to learn about what the shamans and/or Druids knew and created. We are all lulled into a sense of security when we proclaim our science or the five senses provide the fullest inspection available. It is all so wrapped up in the psychology of ego. There was a Harvard study that concluded we only get one third of our wisdom or knowledge through linear logical processes, some years ago. I will return again and again to the eloquence of this MAN, so 'open', that he can see the chasm between the myths of science and the reality of legend. Hopefully we will collectively enable each other to join him across the bridge that fords this chasm. We can overthrow the 'Toilet Philosophy'.Throughout our total cultural history man has sought to order and make sense out of the chaos that creative integration of energy and consciousness allows. How many times has some small magic or replicability encouraged even the wisest adepts among us to imagine they can control nature? This nature that the ancients knew was God is a powerful and deeply connected force throughout the universe according to the boiled down interpretation of all the things man calls religion or cults. Mircae Eliade is a great scholar who knows all religions and systems on the face of the earth as well as any other soul hereon. He has written numerous books on the subject and like most attendees of the Eranos Conferences I respect him a great deal. Here is a brief insight comparing two of the most creative and adept ways that man has yet developed."?both Tantrist and alchemist strive to dominate 'matter'. They do not withdraw from the world as do the ascetic and metaphysician, but dream of conquering it and changing its ontological regime. In short, there is good ground for seeing in the tantric 'sâdhana', and in the work of the alchemist, parallel efforts to free themselves from the laws of Time, to 'decondition' their existence and gain absolute freedom. The transmutation of metals may be ranged among those 'freedoms' which the alchemist succeeds in enjoying: he intervenes actively in the processes of Nature ('prakrti') and in a sense it could be said that he collaborates in its 'redemption'. (Biblio: This term has not, of course, the same significance as it has in Christian theology.)" (1)Roger Bacon was a good alchemist and monk who spent some time in a dungeon for his efforts to bring Christianity out of the Dark Ages and back to Nature ('prakrti'). He is like a lot of adepts in that he chose to dare and be courageous enough to risk his life for the cause of human emancipation. It is known to them all that they could join the paradigm and do very well, if they keep their mouths shut. Ignorance after all, may be bliss ? but as the Greek sage did say, it is not blissful to be ignorant. The fullness of bliss comes most when God is harmonizing and things fit the Divine Purpose. That is a very biased way of saying what creative utilization and intelligent design does contemplate, but it is good enough to describe what I hope can occur. It appears to stupid and simple 'me', that the secrets of science are worth sharing and enabling all mankind with. Through open examination rather than pedagogical pedantry of proselytes, the proletariat might well understand and seek fairness from the priesthoods of greed and power. Time may not be on our side but we can create amazing things if we can garner enough energy and spirit to the common cause of all men in Brotherhood. With just a few trusted people who have the ear of the populace a new ethic could quickly evolve or return. The possibility presented through honesty and a willingness to nurture and negotiate has been the realm of women and thus they became the designated scapegoats of the 'Original Sin'. Our soul innately knows the truth of Brotherhood and the appeals to ego are not more powerful than a soul allowed to speak to the mind, without interpreters who sell fear and salvation. The soul is very connected to the harmonic interplay of all energy and the earth has vectors and valences as well as vortices of energy. The Gaian scientists like Lovelock were on the right track but he was usurped and marginalization of his concepts resulted. There is a great deal of research ongoing in the realms and chasms Dr. Robins addressed and he may be quite correct to have used the word SECRET in the title of his book. Some people think things are different now, and that there is a move towards ecumenicism such as the Iesa or Iesus concept wanted in Brotherhood. Here we see the nature of that so-called ecumenicism today."I was delighted to hear; recently, that a few hundred representatives of different faiths met during a special United Nations forum in New York called the 'Millennium Peace Summit.' Pleading to stop violence in the name of religion and promote tolerance was one of the main messages that came out of the summit. Great; that effort at unified spirituality is what we need in order to promote world peace. But only a few days later, the Vatican through its Doctrine of the Faith Office (the CDF), which not so long ago was named the Office of the Inquisition, issued a document (Dominus Iesus) announcing that not all religions, including other Christian denominations, are equal and that only the Roman Catholic Church is the proper church. One step forward, two steps back. Go figure." arrow right Jesus in Wales

The next few days were as hectic and exciting as any days Jesus could remember. The never-ending stream of people who wanted to meet him actually increased each day. Taliesin (Perhaps the author of the Hanes Taliesin which tells the story of the Merovingians back to Melchizedek.) and others spread word of the most interesting young man who already knew so much, but was there to learn from their own great teachers and adepts. People felt a presence when they were in his company. Sometimes he would say little and listen but ask the most insightful questions and occasionally they would hear a sentence or two when he was challenged by someone else's questions that shone an entirely different light. His passion was immediately felt when his eyes lit up and few who spent much time around him as he traveled with Mary and her father were ever left with any feeling that the legends growing around him were anything less than true. But he hungered to spend serious time in the schooling of Ogham and the healing arts of the Beth-Luis-Nion from Diancecht."I just wanted you to get a feel for the enormity of my enterprises and the trade that supports it from mining and other assets we have throughout the whole wide world. I suppose you have picked up a few clues when you see non-indigenous precious stones like jade and the plethora of furs unlike any others you have known." Joseph remarked as they traveled in a carriage towards a town called Penwith where they were to talk to the miners of the Ding Dong Mine."But there is no great motivation for me in money, Joseph. I seek for knowledge and the Isle of Avalon has the people like Diancecht and Taliesin that will serve Mary and me some truly delectable delights. I look forward to contributing to and reading the Coelbren (Kolbrin).""It is important to know the forces you are up against is it not?" Joseph smiled."Yes, you are right about that." Jesus replied. "And I will address this to the miners as I did long ago at the Temple with the 'money-changers'.""Is that OK with you Father?" Mary worriedly asked."I will never stand in the way of our young lord."Like most mines it was a veritable hell-hole and dangerous place even though the living quarters were better than most and there were no slaves. It was one of those places that many who had been slaves, who were from Africa and all manner of places, were working; and Jesus was appalled after a brief tour. Joseph introduced Jesus to the crowd of mostly miners who stood sullenly in the amphitheatre."I join in your pain 'brothers'. I feel it and I worry about all the ways that people make money on the backs of other life. I know many of you are in a far better place here than you once were forced to experience but it does not change the abject horror I feel and the reason I will now be driven to always fight against the forces of power and greed. You and I may not see the world change in our lifetime but I will give my life in the cause of Brotherhood and egalitarian or free-thinking opportunities for all life on earth. Verily I say unto thee ? he that suffers the least little hurt in this world is diminished but I and all others are just as diminished. In fact those who diminish others are even more to suffer the karmic outcome of the acts done in their name.""Sure you say this, but we see who you sleep with." Shouted a burly misanthrope near the front of the crowd."Mary is my touchstone and she is the daughter of your master. He is a fine man but he cannot change the world by himself. I see you are brave and I will be assured by Joseph that you will not only not be punished but you should be rewarded. Thank you." Jesus walked off the raised platform and went to get the man. He brought him to Joseph and he asked Joseph."Do you have a place for this man that he deserves due to his long and hard life that you and others have brought upon him?""He will be made a forest warden and live in a cottage not far from here. I know that all of you deserve more but I am beholden to forces beyond my control. I did not have to bring our young Lord here to speak with you and I do not have to do all the things I do which make your lives far better than other miners. I do these things as best I can and I hope that during my long absences that any transgressions that have occurred outside the way I have instructed things be handled, will be brought to my attention."It was along night that saw most of the managers sent packing or offered a job as a deep miner. Many of the miners were asked who they thought would be the best replacements for the managers. The atmosphere of hope that prevailed was most satisfying to Jesus, Mary and Joseph. They spent the night around a bonfire and entertained their 'brothers' who became more open and willing to entertain them as the night wore on. As they left the next day to head back to the Isle of Avalon near Glastonbury they were met by the non-working shifts who had gathered along the roadside to pay their respects. The man who was to become warden stepped into the path of the horses and would not move. He waited for Jesus or Joseph to come out of the carriage and walk up to him. Jesus and Joseph both came towards him and Jesus opened his arms. The man came crying into his arms and he said."I have a son who works in another mine which is run by someone from another Phoenician enterprise. I want him to have this warden's job.""It will be done." Joseph spoke and the crowd began to cheer. Again Jesus was touched by or shook hands with many of the miners before he returned to the carriage.Author of Diverse Druids Columnist for The ES Press Magazine Guest 'expert' at World-Mysteries.com

arrow right Moses v. Jesus: Why do Conservative Christians Prefer Moses Commandments to

Why are conservative Christians so concerned about displaying the Ten Commandments in public and especially in courtrooms?Conservatives and their lawyers claim that the Ten Commandments are (or, should regain their position) at the heart of American jurisprudence because the Decalogue represents our commitment to Rule of Law. And, they have made these arguments in cases like McCreary County v. ACLU of Kentucky[1] (in which the ACLU challenged the legality of displaying framed copies of the Ten Commandments in two Kentucky courtrooms) and Van Orden v. Perry[2] (involving a challenge to the legality of a Ten Commandments monument displayed as part of a statehouse exhibit). Immediately after the Supreme Court decided these two cases, Mat Staver, the conservative Christian attorney who argued the McCreary County case, statedThe Ten Commandments have become a universally recognized symbol of law because of its [sic] influence on our law and notions of right and wrong. The Court should recognize the Ten Commandments are more than an historical relic. The Founders would be outraged that we are even debating the constitutionality of the Ten Commandments. That the Ten Commandments would be deemed unconstitutional is an insult to the Constitution, to our shared religious history ?[3]While the Supreme Court decisions released this week in these two cases did little to resolve the issue of religious displays, they elevate the issue in the American culture wars while obscuring a broader set of questions that we should consider: Are the Ten Commandments really a building block of American society, and a representation of our preference for order? If they are, should they be? Given our culture, tradition and values, should we display the Ten Commandments publicly as a sign of reverence for our institutions?Frankly, I doubt it.I am certainly not against religious displays in public.[4] But, I would be much more in favor of the idea if conservatives were arguing for the public display of what should be the set of tenets at the center of Christianity and its influence of society - the Beatitudes. In pursuing this discussion, it is easy to get off track, and onto a kind of argument that is not particularly productive - the appropriateness of displaying religious documents in public forums,[5] or appropriate standards of review for governmental policies implicating religion.[6] I hope we don't, because I want to raise an issue related to the questions I posed above, one that I find much more interesting. It's time for conservative Christians to decide ? who do you like better, Moses or Jesus? It can't possibly be both, because as we know from St. Paul's letters that Jesus freed us from the Law (promulgated by God through Moses, in the Christian and Judaic traditions). Jesus' Beatitudes are a "new law" of redemption leading to freedom, peace, charity and happiness. The word beatitude itself comes from the Latin beatitudo (meaning happiness). Jesus' mission to the world was to preach that "the Kingdom of God is at hand." He did not tack on "and, God is really angry so there's going to be hell to pay." In short, Jesus' message was not one of retributive justice carried out by a set of state institutions that enforce a religious code for living. So why are conservative Christians, the heirs of Jesus' mercy and love, supporting Moses over Jesus?Rejection of the Ten Commandments by courts has contributed to disaffection with the society, belief that Christian values are under attack, and sustained political and legal action on the part of the conservative Christian social movement. Certain, not all conservative Christians would side with Moses on this score, but they are the exceptions to the rule. If others thought about it, they would realize that they are backing the wrong horse, and could make a better argument using the Beatitudes. I would like to see courts argue against a public display of words like "blessed are the peacemakers," or (even better) "blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy." I'm certain courts would insist that such words would have to be placed within an historical context. But, can you see courts today objecting to consideration of the beatitudes and "blessed are the merciful" before sentencing, as they did recently when they overturned the decision of a jury that considered the Old Testament during deliberation? So, why then is the punitive justice of Mosaic Law equated with Christian principles when Jesus himself preached peace and mercy, not "an eye for an eye?" The answer is not that conservative Christians are uncomfortable with a legal status that places them on the outside. Conservatives of all stripes actually feel much more comfortable on the outside of the system then the inside. Once they gain political power they have just as much trouble as any other winners in managing the state and maintaining their principles. The strange part is that they would want to win at all. The images of Mosaic Law are the armies of Israel conquering Canaan, and later the armies of Christian Europe conquering Jerusalem. The image of the Beatitudes is of the suffering Christ on the Cross, put there by the state. If conservative Christians today feel that they have been cut off from government (and their values shunted aside), isn't that what is supposed to happen? "Blessed are ye when [men] shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake."Even more perplexing, if conservative Christians did manage to dominate the institutions of government, why would they want to put the principles of Moses into practice rather than those of Jesus who superseded him? The Ten Commandments are the symbol of a system that while claiming to be Christian (if not in origin, then in practice) in no way resembles the work of Christ. This system endorses a way of living that shows little of the respect for human dignity that is at the heart of Jesus' work. Yet its adherents claim to be followers of Christ. So, why do they endorse the "eye for an eye" logic that Christ himself refutes when constructing a state based on Christian principles?I think the answer lies in ideology and authoritarianism. People prefer the easy answer to the question of who is good and who is bad. Mosaic Law provides the most parsimonious response to both criminal conduct and behavior outside the mainstream. In fact, Mosaic Law (or, at least those parts of it that we like to keep around ? the "stone my mother at the gates of the city" part is a bit passé) is applied much more easily and consistently (particularly within the state) than Jesus' mercy and peace. From that standpoint, it is more coherent, and almost scientific in its application. There is action, and there is reaction. Law becomes routinized, predictable, and consistent. It is a man-made list of proscriptions, but it ultimately takes on the form of a natural and undeniable force applied unthinkingly and automatically. You do the crime, you do the time. Punishing those whose behavior is offensive makes logical sense from a self-centered point of view. It's supposed to make us feel better when the state carries it out. Retribution restores our faith that, if we behave as the state wants us to behave, we will be protected. For those who behave against the authority of the state, there will be retribution. People demonstrate the same kind of faith in the systems' ability to pass judgment in the economic sphere as well. Americans conflate economic success with personal virtue. The difficulty with the legal paradigm based on Mosaic Law is this ? it is not the work of Jesus. Under the Mosaic Law, justice is imputed ? citizens are not called upon to evaluate the effectiveness of the system in achieving justice, or its usefulness in establishing social arrangements and distributions of power, wealth, or status. Furthermore, citizens are not required to think carefully about themselves in relation to others. In promoting consistency and uniformity, the law asks no one to be unselfish, to turn the other cheek, or to set aside asserting one's rights against someone else in favor of forgiveness and community with others. This is a way of thinking about life characterized by atomism more in line with scientific theory than with religious doctrine. Unfortunately, in America alternative modes of thinking are difficult to defend in the abstract ? mainly because they are abstract and have no adherents to defend them. Social scientists recognize this. Jennifer Hochschild argues that we have "individualized"[7] even personal responsibilities and duties to community. In other words, there must be some individual benefit for Americans if they will endorse policies that require recognition of others' rights or needs. Placing the Ten Commandments in courtrooms merely reinforces our ideological attachments, rationalizes a type of justice that is distinctly unchristian, and focuses our attention on what is best for self rather than what is most useful for building the rich human interaction that is the basis for any productive society. Law-abidingness (even when that law is clearly unjust) is considered a sign of virtue, merit and innate goodness. The Ten Commandments are the very embodiment of this kind of justice ? losers deserve to lose and criminals to be punished, and those who do not conform should experience punishment because nonconformity is a purely personal failing. That is the essence of democratic authoritarianism. As Hochschild notes, there is no absolute reason for envisioning life in this way, it is "simply an epistemological choice ? But to the degree that the focus carries a moral message, it points to a weakness at the very heart ?"[8] of Americanism because we have been deceived into believing its universality. This leaves us few options for evaluating the usefulness of our system of justice. It also explains why it is so hard to argue for the Beatitudes, and why conservative Christians see an ancient law, outmoded by the work of their own savior, as embodying the central tenants of their faith. We can, however, draw two conclusions. First, the tenets of conservative Christianity are based in part on socio-cultural norms and preferences for behavior. Perhaps if conservative Christianity endorsed Christ as its central figure it could make some legitimate claim to universality. But, it has failed to do so. Furthermore, conservative Christianity fails to endorse all Mosaic law, picking and choosing which laws to follow and enforce based solely on what is socially acceptable. Thus, all that can be said about this is that conservative Christians favor a culturally derived sense of justice, that they represent this cultural derived sense of justice as both universally good and related to Christ, but that it actually emanates from the Ten Commandments, a law outmoded by Christ himself. If we can agree on this (and I doubt we will), then perhaps we can begin a public dialogue about what social arrangements and definitions of justice are most useful for promoting social good.Second, conservative Christian social activism could in fact be very useful. It is not the activism that is the problem, but the inconsistencies in the principles underlying that action. Perhaps there is a way to endorse the idea of social change, but fundamentally reshape the values that underlie it. However, this project holds little chance for success because conservative Christians deride the idea that social good should ever be a basis for our decisions. This brings us back to the first conclusion ? the values espoused by conservative Christians supporting the display of the Ten Commandments are culturally derived and time bound despite claims to the contrary. In the end, conservative Christians are fighting the right battle (for social change) using the wrong list. The Beatitudes at their core are pragmatic. Unlike the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes are distinctly lacking in authoritative commands, dogmatic principles, or rigid standards. Take for instance that portion saying Blessed are the poor in spirit, and Blessed are the meek. Poverty in spirit and meekness are qualities of humility, not dogmatic certitude. One cannot imagine the poor in spirit and the meek leading a crusade to kill the infidel ? they could never be so certain. Thus, both suggest that lacking dogmatic belief and certitude are appropriate characteristics for followers of Christ. They might read "blessed are the humble, who are not so arrogant to believe that they know everything and have the right to impose that knowledge on others." Under this mode of thinking, any religious conviction that cannot tolerate uncertainty and that fears open critical self-examination is a form of idolatry. Thus, the Beatitudes supplant the Ten Commandments by introducing an approach to living that contradicts the old list at every point. Even more strikingly, the Beatitudes imply that if you want to be successful you cannot act as the Ten Commandments dictate ? you cannot angrily persecute non-adherents from a list of dos and don'ts. In fact, such persecution is precisely what those who follow the Beatitudes should expect for themselves. Furthermore, Blessed are the merciful presents us with a range of potentially pragmatic behaviors applied across social institutions. Those who show the mercy of Christ are blessed, not those who impose authoritarian power to punish, or those who impose their ideas about right religion on others or even themselves. Unfortunately, the word righteousness in blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness is too often taken to mean the dogmatic form of religiosity. But, in context with the other Beatitudes, it seems to imply that taking the pragmatic stance (characterized by the qualities of mercy, peace, and poverty in the face of uncertainty) is truly to seek after righteousness, and righteousness itself is seeking the best in life despite its ever changing nature.[1] Supreme Court Docket No. No. 03-1693. See American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky v. McCreary County, 354 F.3d 438 (2003) for the sixth circuit decision below.[2] See Van Orden v. Liberty Counsel Alert, Washington, DC: June 23, 2005.[4] Quite the contrary actually. I'm on the side of Texas in the Van Orden case, especially as the state responded to concerns about displaying only the Ten Commandments by morphing the monument into a broader educational display about the law.[5] Critical analyses of religion in public forums abounds. For popular reviews of attitudes among the religious, particularly conservative Christians, see Wolfe, Alan. "The Opening of the Evangelical Mind." Atlantic Monthly 286, no. 4 (2000): 55?76, or Cox, Harvey. "The Warring Visions of the Religious Right." Atlantic Monthly 276, no. 5 (1995): 59?69. The Religious Right in American Politics. 2nd ed. Boulder, CO: Westview Press (2000), and Moen, Matthew C. The Transformation of the Christian Right. The Court has struggled to define appropriate standards that safeguard religion from governmental influence while maintaining the free expressive rights of citizens. Beginning with Engel v. Vitale (1962), the Court continued to refined First Amendment religion clause jurisprudence. Engel and its progeny treat various areas of religion in public life, including public displays such as the one at issue in McCreary County v. ACLU of Kentucky, but also public policies on religious observances by state institutions, state support for religion in public schools, support for religious educational institutions, and recognition of religious beliefs of citizens.[7] Hochschild, Jennifer. arrow right The Coming War with Russia

The Coming World War III [with Russia]In my book, "The Last Trumpet?" I write about prophecy, and World War III, which I wrote about five years ago; thus, I have not wrote much on it since, which I fear, I should have. Many things have happened in the past five years, besides me traveling around the world ten times, and writing book after book, World War III has been gearing up; how so? Let me explain. First of all, I was an Ordained Minister, in good standing, in l993 (I have since left that area, for my own personal reasons); I wrote out the Manuscript, of "The Last Trumpet?" in l984, sent it to three clergy I knew, and one person died of the three, and I he misplaced it when I went to find it; so it was lost, as was the second one to the second clergy, and mine was misplaced for 13-years. Then my mother told me I need to get it out no matter what, she died in 2003, I had gotten the book out in 2002, so she got her wish. Anyhow, they used it for Bible Study, in prophecy in Haiti, believe it or not, so the pastor wrote me and told me. But let me get the premise here.We are presently, somewhat friendly with Russia, but it will not remain that way. In the book of Ezekiel, prophecy foretold Israel shall return to their own land, and now we see this has come to pass. I do believe Iran will be directly involved with the invasion, as will Russia, as they plan to invade Israel in the near future. That is one of the reasons we are in Iraq, believe it or not; we are a buffer. Look into chapter 38, verses 1 and 2, Ezekiel mentions Gog, the land of Magog. If you ask a Russian what is the top of the Caucasus Mountains called, he'd say, "The Gogh". Magog, with his tribe, left Asia Minor and went to the southern part of the land we now call Russia. Thus, Russia is going to play a major part in the war to come in the Middle East. These are the times, Israel's last Holocaust you could say, is coming (that is, a war, and then the Holocaust). The people to come up against Israel will look like a cloud. Two hundred-million, military forces will come against Israel. China can boast that now with their reserves, so it has been written; that is two thirds the population of the United States. Those who have mocked the Bible, look closer skeptics, look at 2 Peter 3:10, there you will find a clear definition of the atomic warfare as is contained in any library. '?the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." This is the end, end times; Russia will hit Israel before her last strike; when I say her last strike I'm jumping too far into the future, but not that far. First comes the war with Russia, and then the 200-million military force.Dennis Siluk, you can see his book at his site, or http://www.amazon.com http://dennissiluk.tripod

arrow right Falsehoods

There are many different church denominations in this year of 2005 that is offering same sex marriage. This is an abomination before God. Lets see what the Bibles say about this matter. Look at Matthew 7:15 it says Watch out for false prophets. They come to you sheep 's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.Paul speaks in Titus1:1 it says Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness-faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, and at his appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior. Paul speaks about the Gospel in the book of Philippians 1:15 it says It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Now look in the book of 2Peter 2:1 it says But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them-bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. Now continue reading to verse 17 it says These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty boastful words and by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity-for a man is a slave too whatever has mastered him.In the book of Ephesians 4:25 it says Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. Now in the book of Proverbs 30:8 it says Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. In the book of 1Timothy 6:20 it says Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith. It is clear in the book of Leviticus 19:11 it says Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not deceive one another. Do not swear falsely by my name and so profane the name of your God. I am the LordNow look at the book of 1Corinthians 6:9 it says Do you not now that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; Neither the sexually immoral or idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanders nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. In the book or Galatians 5:19 it says The acts of the sinful nature are obvious; sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.Tell me if I am incorrect but immoral is to be corrupt, evil, wicked, profoundly bad, sexually arousing, lewd, depraved, obscene and more, and impurity is to be pollution, uncleanness, foulness, contamination, defilement, corruption, dirtiness, filth. So I ask this question. Why in all common sense would anyone allow homosexuality to be presented in the church as a way righteous or to be displayed as a way of life acceptable to Jesus? What is the underlining reason? This make me think about selfishness, which is more important equal rights or the right way of life? The book of 1Corinthians 15:33 says Do not be misled; Bad company corrupts good character. Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God-I say this to your shame. Now look in the book of Romans 1:18 it says The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory for the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and bird and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with on another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged nature relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. In conclusion in the book of James 1:13 it says When tempted no one should say, God is tempting me. For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.Love Always, Your Sister in Christ, Mellody DavisEnjoy more reading at: http://www.hostinghelps.com/allaboutjesus/AboutJesus.html

arrow right Story of Solomon

Without question, the greatest story in the Bible of someone who sought after the knowledge and wisdom of God and actually received it was King Solomon in the Old Testament. What happened to this man was just about beyond belief. When Solomon became King of Israel, he knew he did not have the knowledge and wisdom to properly rule his people. So what did he do? He went direct to God the Father and asked Him for His knowledge and His wisdom to rule the people. He admitted his weakness in this area and was not afraid to press in and start asking God for His knowledge. So what did God do when he asked Him for His knowledge to help rule his people? God did not meet him halfway - He met him all the way! As you will see in the two verses I will list below - God tells Solomon because he did not ask for long life, riches or the death of his enemies for himself - but just asked for an

arrow right The Gospel According to the Americans - Our Shame

As a deist, Thomas Jefferson may have thought God was indifferent, but gospel twisting preachers and theologians of the day seem to think God is a clown. One preacher appears regularly on television pushing his book entitled? How to be Rich and Have Everything You Ever Wanted. He insists that if people would pay their vows (an Old Testament concept) that this would begin to happen. It goes without saying that payment must be made to him. The blatant emphasis on the business of tithes and offerings among some churches has become a shameful blight but shows no signs of abating. Before millions of viewers on the Larry King Show, another well known preacher refused to say that everyone needed Jesus for salvation. He then stated that the word "sinner" was a word he never used in his messages. He has since apologized to his many friends and adherents but a chance to witness to millions is now lost. The question remaining is how anyone can find a way to preach the gospel without using the word "sinner." Jefferson's answer may be...Just use a jackknife. This new kind of preaching has many names. It is called, the prosperity gospel, the abundant life gospel, and the celebrity gospel. I call it, the gospel according to the Americans but in moments of my greatest disgust I call it by its more generic name, trash. Is it wrong to say that God wants to bless us? Does God want all his people to be dirt poor or live a life of abject poverty? Will God only give us pie in the sky when we die and ignore our love and generosity until later? The answer to all three questions is, no, no, and no. God has promised to bless the giver in dozens of passages similar to Luke 6:38. So what is the problem? The problem is one of balance. Just like the ancient Pharisees who struggled with the picture of a ruling kingly messiah versus a lowly suffering messiah. Their answer to the seemingly incongruous promises of the prophets was to come up with the idea that their must be two messiahs. There is but one messiah and all prophecy is fulfilled in him. Aha! There is also but one way to walk the life of obedience to the gospel as well. It may be that you have to be abased or exalted as the apostle Paul who said he had learned to adapt to either state for the sake of the gospel. Php 4:12 If Paul were a proponent of today's gospel he would have thought he was out of the perfect will of God every day he was pursued, beaten, jailed or suffering. Thank God he didn't feel this way because he would have had to style his epistles after the Jeffersonian model and leave out those occurrences. Is it really a time for believers to dismiss every wind of doctrine and accept every new kid on the block kind of doctrine? Are we compelled to look the other way as these twisted presentations of the gospel gain momentum all for the sake of Christian unity? But is this rather a time for Americans to hang their heads in shame. Trying to present a gospel that does not magnify anything but the wonderful finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ is always a shame. If we emphasize only those parts of the bible we like and leave the rest we are creating our own Jefferson bible. Perhaps we then might be able to do away with Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and substitute them with a single gospel we could call, The Gospel According to the Americans.Rev Bresciani is the leader of a non-denominational ministry in the New Orleans area. arrow right The Wisdom of this World is Foolishness with God

Once you start to receive the knowledge and wisdom of God flowing into your life - you will find something very interesting that will start to happen. You'll start to see the difference between the knowledge and wisdom of God versus the knowledge and wisdom of this world. You'll see that God is always right and that man is always wrong when the two are on opposites sides of the fence. A perfect example is the abortion issue - where you have the people who are pro-choice and their arguments versus the people who are pro-life with their arguments. From God's point of view - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see who is on the wrong side of the fence on this issue. As you will see in the two verses I will list below - the Bible tells us that the wisdom of this world is
