Brownie Slowpokes1 (22 1/2 ounce) box brownie mix1/3 cup water2 eggsAbout 1/2 cup pecan halvesChocolate fudge frosting mix or canned frostingHot waterPreheat oven to 350 degrees F.Mix brownie mix, water and eggs in large bowl. (The dough will be stiff.) For each cookie,  place 3 pecan halves so that they form the letter "Y" on ungreased cookie sheet. (The cookies should be 2 inches apart.) Drop the dough by rounded teaspoonsful onto center of each group of nuts. Bake 10 minutes.Cool on the cookie sheet about 2 minutes. Lift the cookies to rack with pancake turner.Prepare the frosting mix as directed on package. Spread a little frosting on each Slowpoke with a spatula.

Knock You Nakeds1 (18 1/2 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix1 cup chopped pecans1/3 cup plus 1/2 cup evaporated milk, divided3/4 cup butter, melted60 vanilla caramels, unwrapped (one 14 ounce package)1 cup semisweet chocolate chipsIn a large mixing bowl, combine dry  cake mix, pecans, the 1/3 cup evaporated milk and melted butter. Press half of the batter into the bottom of a greased 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 8 minutes.In the top of a double boiler over simmering water, melt caramels with remaining 1/2 cup evaporated milk. When caramel mixture is well mixed, pour over baked layer. Cover with chocolate chips. Pour remaining batter on top of morsels. Return to preheated 350 degree F oven and bake for 18 minutes. Let cool before cutting into squares.Makes 16 to 20 bars.

Rum Bars1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow butter cake mix 1 egg 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted 1 (16 ounce) box confectioners' sugar 2 eggs 8 ounces cream cheese 1 teaspoon rum extractMix together cake mix, 1 egg and butter. Pat out onto a 15 1/2 x 11-inch cake pan.Mix  confectioners' sugar, 2 eggs, cream cheese and rum extract. Spread this mixture on top of cake mixture. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees F.Cut into bars.

Gloreo CookiesPosted by bettyboop50 at recipegoldmine.com1 devil's food cake mix2 eggs2 tablespoons water2 tablespoons cooking oil1/4 cup Nestle's Quik cocoaFilling1 packet unflavored gelatine1/4 cup cold water1 cup Crisco1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 pound confectioners'  sugar1 cup confectioners' sugarPreheat oven to 400 degrees F.Blend all ingredients for cookie dough until you can shape the dough into a smooth ball. Let stand 20 minutes, loosely covered.Form dough into marble size balls. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Flatten each with a smooth bottom of drinking glass greased once and dipped into Nestle's quick powder. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove at once from baking sheet to paper towels, and immediately flatten each cookie with a smooth spatula. Let cool 20 minutes.Soften gelatine in cold water. Place in a heatproof cup in pan of hot water until gelatine is transparent.Beat Crisco until fluffy, adding vanilla extract and confectioners' sugar a little at a time. Beat in gelatine mixture when it completely cooled, but not set or firm.When cooled, shape filling into 1-inch balls. Place between the two bottom sides of the cooled cookies and press gently until the filling has spread to edges of cookie.Makes 48 cookies.

Rolo Brownies1/4 cup butter1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix1/2 cup chopped nuts2/3 cup evaporated milk36 Rolo candies, cut in halfPreheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.Melt butter.Combine cake mix and nuts. Stir in butter and milk until blended. Spread  half of mixture in prepared pan. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown. Remove from oven and immediately place Rolo halves, cut side down, onto warm crust. Drop remaining mixture by spoon evenly over Rolo candies in pan. Do not spread. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely before cutting.

Pumpkin "Pie"1 (18.25 ounce) box plain yellow cake mix4 eggs1 cup firmly packed brown sugar1 (30 ounce) can pumpkin1 cup butter2/3 cup milk1 tablespoon cinnamonPreheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish.Reserve 1 cup of the cake mix.  Melt 1/2 cup of the butter and mix with remaining cake mix and 1 egg. Spread in bottom of prepared baking dish.Mix together brown sugar, milk, cinnamon, 3 eggs and pumpkin. Pour over cake mix layer.Combine the reserved cup of cake mix, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup of softened margarine. Crumble over second layer and bake for 45 minutes. Refrigerate. Cut into squares to serve.Serve with whipped cream.

Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Cool completely.In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, shortening, sugar, vanilla extract and salt; beat in milk mixture until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Split cake into two horizontal layers. It freezes beautifully also.8 large eggs, at room temperature 2 1/4 cups flour, sifted 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar 1 1/2 cups butter, at room temperature2  tablespoons lemon juice 2 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract1/8 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar 1 cup walnuts, chopped very fine Confectioners' sugarPreheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour a Bundt or tube pan.Separate the eggs. Sift the flour with the baking soda and 1 1/4 cups of sugar. Place the butter in the bowl of an electric mixer and cream it well. Beat in the flour-sugar mixture by thirds, then beat in the lemon juice and vanilla extract. Beat in the egg yolks one by one, being sure each is absorbed before you add the next.In a separate mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy. Add the salt and the cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in the remaining 1 cup of sugar, and continue beating until the mixture is glossy and holds stiff peaks.Fold the nuts into the flour mixture, and gently fold in the beaten egg whites. Turn the batter into the prepared pan and gently cut through the batter once or twice with a rubber spatula to break any large air bubbles.Bake the cake for 1 1/2 hours, or until a knife or wooden pick inserted near the center comes out clean. Do not open the oven during the first hour of baking. Turn off the heat and let the cake sit in the hot oven for 15 minutes.Remove cake from the oven, and let cool in the pan for 15 minutes more. Remove the cake from the pan and sprinkle lightly with confectioners' sugar. Let cool thoroughly, then wrap tightly in foil.Serve in thin slices, with whipped cream, if desired.
