Will Bending

                                  When opinion is 

Brought on by suggestion 

The anecdote 

Is not evidence enough 

For handouts of daily anesthetic 

To disguise the next disappointment 

Or as eating brains 

Can cure primitive intellect 

The history of my mistakes 

Bases on the pretense 

Of being paid to 

Paint over spiders as important 

Instead of listening to the 

Leaves as they amplify 

The beat of the rain
